Offering opportunities to students to gain valuable skills and experience within the construction industry setting, supported by teaching staff and industry mentors.
Students in Pupil Referral Units across the UK face serious challenges and tend to have worse education, training and employment outcomes than their contemporaries. Through Aspire Academy, they will be helped to overcome some of the challenges and disadvantages they face developing skills, knowledge and experience preparing themselves to enter the world of work.
A partnership consisting of West Cumbria Learning Centre, Time To Change and William King Construction has come together to set up Aspire Academy.
From breaking ground on our purpose built site to welcoming our first group of students, we are immensely proud of our journey to date and the opportunities we have to shape young lives in the future.
Aspire Academy is a testament to all those incredible companies and volunteers who have supported us whether that’s with time, knowledge, materials or through donations. We are truly grateful, your support allows for us to keep having a positive impact on young lives in the area.
If you would like to offer your support we’d love to hear from you.
From a one-off donation to regular donations by direct debit, legacy gifts or corporate fundraising for us, every penny donated goes straight back into our the Aspire Academy so that we can continue to have a positive impact on young lives in the area.
Aspire Academy is a Community Interest Company (CIC) offering the opportunity for students at West Cumbria Learning Centre to gain valuable skills and experience in a construction industry setting.
